Language or Live Listen is not translating
Open Vela Link → You → Settings → Language Packs. Download the detected language pair and keep the app open while Apple Translation installs it. Live Listen shows whether microphone audio is arriving. Check Microphone and Speech Recognition access in Apple Settings if the meter does not move.
Nearby phones cannot connect
Keep both phones unlocked in the same room. Allow Bluetooth and Local Network access on both devices, then open Nearby pairing. Compare the six-digit rotating Peer Authenticator code before trusting a new or changed identity.
Privacy-safe diagnostics
In Vela Link, open You → Settings → Support & diagnostics. The report is created only when you tap Prepare and is never uploaded automatically. It contains version, readiness states, and security counts—not names, phone numbers, messages, transcripts, audio, photos, locations, fingerprints, or keys. Review it before sharing.
Accessibility
Vela Link is designed for VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text, Reduce Motion, and increased contrast. Read the public Accessibility statement. If a common task is blocked, email support with the device, OS version, accessibility feature, and the screen where it occurred. Do not include private conversation content.
Emergency use
Vela Link translations can be wrong and the SOS translator does not contact emergency services. Call the local emergency number or ask a qualified human interpreter when safety depends on exact meaning.
Consent and recording
Tell every participant before using Live Listen, transcription, recording, camera translation, voice notes, or spoken playback, and obtain all permission required where each person is located. Stop if anyone withdraws consent. Vela Link’s visible microphone and audio indicators do not replace your legal responsibilities.
