Accessibility

Vela Link is being built so nearby translation remains understandable without relying on hearing, color, small type, or fast timed gestures.

Supported design

Vela Link uses Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels and values, minimum-size controls, visible captions, spoken output, right-to-left layout, non-color status indicators, and reduced-motion alternatives. Original speech and translated meaning remain visually distinct.

Live Listen and audio

A visible microphone meter reports whether audio is arriving. Original and translated captions can be enlarged into a focused full-screen view. AirPods and compatible Bluetooth routes show their current output status. Important states are represented with text and symbols, not color alone.

Translation safety

Low-confidence meaning remains reviewable beside the original. Vela can call attention to names, numbers, dates, prices, addresses, negation, and medical details before speaking them. Translation can still be wrong; confirm safety-critical meaning with a qualified human.

Current validation boundary

Accessibility support is not considered certified until common tasks pass on physical devices with VoiceOver, Voice Control, Switch Control, Accessibility XXXL, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast, Bold Text, Button Shapes, and right-to-left Arabic. Published App Store accessibility claims must match the final signed build.
