Tara is built privacy-first. The short version: nearly everything you do in this app stays on your device. The few exceptions are listed below.
What stays on your device only
- Your name, birthday (if you add one), and personalization preferences.
- Cards you favorite, your draw streak, journal entries, oracle readings, and saved sigils.
- Voice clips you've generated and downloaded for offline use.
- Subscription state cached from Apple's StoreKit.
On-device intelligence
Oracle readings are composed on your iPhone by Pauram Intelligence, using Apple's on-device model where your device supports it. Your questions, cards, and reflections are not sent to our servers.
Voice guidance uses your device's built-in speech. Your name, birthday, and journal entries never leave your device.
Earth Signs (weather)
Earth Signs is off by default. If you turn it on, Tara uses your approximate location (or a city you type) to request today's weather from Apple Weather. Your location is used only for that request — it is not stored on our servers. You can switch to a manual city or turn Earth Signs off at any time.
Subscriptions and purchases
Tara uses Apple's StoreKit. Purchases, subscription state, and renewals are handled by Apple. Tara never sees your payment information.
Analytics and crash reports
If enabled, Tara reports anonymized event names (for example: a ritual started or a card was drawn) and crash diagnostics to help us improve the app. We do not log raw script text, journal entries, or your name. You can disable analytics in Settings → Privacy.
Push notifications
Notifications you opt into (daily reminder, birthday card, weather sign) are scheduled locally on your device. No remote push is required.
Launch email (website)
If you join the launch list on tarayourmind.com, we store only your email address and the date you signed up. We use it to send one email when Tara is available, then delete the list. We never share or sell it. To be removed sooner, email support@pauram.com.
Children
Tara is intended for users aged 13 and over.
Your rights
You can delete every piece of data the app has stored on your device by tapping Settings → Delete all my data. This is immediate and irreversible. To cancel a subscription, use iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
